Working on the New Design

This is a work in progress--it takes me forever frankly and yet I still get impatient. So I am pretty content to put the first version out here and we will see what it will look like a week from now -- all depends on how inspired Code Girl is feeling. Right now though....I am pretty excited.

Steampunk Insects By Lindsey Bessanon

Lindsey Bessanon is an Arizona artist who creates beautiful and intricate pieces of art combining the delicacy of insect carapaces with the delicacy of mechanical gears. They look like random bits of CGI in a Steampunk movie where the universe is full of such naturally winged and geared creatures. You can read and see how she creates these pieces here and here. The scorpion below was found in Bessanon's backyard.

Coming Up For Air...and Coffee

So I have been more than a little absent from the blog lately. And while I have a lot of future posts kicking in my head, I am in the middle of a number of re-organizations -- including an overhaul of this blog. After almost five years, I decided it needed a new look -- so bear with me please as I finish figuring out what that means. I hope to at last domain map the blog and add a new bit of flash in the banners. Coming soon!
