I am so happy that the finished sweater for my granddaughter knitted up really well and the lovely braided buttons were a great choice by my daughter. This is one of my favorite pictures of my sweet girl and her baby brother -- the adoring expression on his face, and the girl telling him about Norse Myths, how trucks work, different kinds of bird song, and invented verses for the never-ending "Wheels on the Bus" song. I also love this photo because my mother is present here as a knitter in my grandson's sweater and hat. My son wore the sweater when he was a wee one, and the little hat, the last thing my mother knit before she died, has been worn by the children of friends and then returned so that my daughter could make sure this one too had a chance to connect to his grandmother.
