Aww...it makes me so happy to see the girl in her sweater. The hardest part about knitting for children at a long distance is wondering if it is going to fit once you're done making it! I worried it might be too small -- but now that see on her I am well pleased. It's pretty cosy and she is beautiful.
And I pretty much love this picture of the Mountain Girl and her four month brother. Look how he stares at her so adoringly as she instructs him in everything from how to park a back hoe to Norse mythology. (She went as a Valkery for Halloween.) What I also like is the generational knit-ware! The sweater I knitted for the MMG and the red hat for the wee one. But my mother knit the beautiful yellow sweater for my son -- more than 30 years ago. I save everything she knit and glad to have done so.
